How real-time reporting can improve customer experience

Article by Martyn Jones | 6th May 2020

FareShare has been operating a huge national campaign to support people during lockdown. During the coronavirus crisis food banks have seen a drop in donations. Luckily, the Co-Op has stepped up to donate over £1.5 million worth of food, to provide essentials to 4,000 food banks across the UK.

As a valued customer of VoCoVo, we’d like to encourage more people to get involved.

You can donate by texting MEALS to 70490 to give £10 or at the till in every Co-Opor online by clicking on the button at the bottom of the page.

It’s a hard time for vulnerable people across the UK and the food banks that serve them. Many are reluctant to leave the house to risk infection, and even more livelihoods have been adversely affected by the current crisis. We’d like to shine a light on a group of brilliant people who are trying to help.

FareShare is the UK’s national network for food redistribution. Together, they take the surplus food from the food industry and give it to almost 11,000 frontline charities and community organisations. NEF research also calculated that FareShare saves the UK economy £51 million every year.

One in five charities say they would have to close if FareShare stopped providing food, and over 80% of users who ate a FareShare meal said it made them feel closer to their community. That’s why we think they’re amazing.

VoCoVo’s client Co-op is supporting FareShare throughout the coronavirus crisis, and has already donated over £1.5 million to feed those at risk of hunger. We’d like to show our support for both our customer and the brilliant organisation FareShare and encourage people to help by donating.

Let’s make a difference together!
